"But what if my emails aren't good?" and other concerns of solopreneurs

The Real Deal Digest
Issue No. 7
I bought a puzzle from a consignment shop over the weekend. And oh, the lessons I’ve learned!
As I crouched over the dining room table for hours, sorting the pieces by color, I had two epiphanies about owning a business:
1. Sometimes, the missing piece in your business is right in front of you–even if you think you've explored every option. 🧩
2. After spending so much time working solo on your business, you feel deeply connected to it. You might hesitate to bring in help because you think you’ve got it all figured out. But when someone sits down beside you and starts helping you complete the puzz-, erm, helps give you some clarity, it's really helpful, rewarding, and fun!
These puzzle revelations inspired the details of a new offer that's been brewing in my head for a while. More on that in a minute. First...
Here's what’s in this week’s issue of The Real Deal Digest:
🧩 How stepping away from the screen sparks clarity
🧩 One of the biggest struggles solopreneurs face–and how I can help
🧩 A new, low(ish) ticket offer inspired by a dear friend (and life coach!)
When I first opened my Parisian puzzle, I searched for all the edge pieces (my grandma taught me well). But I couldn’t find several of them and assumed it was my fault for buying a used puzzle.
Boy, was I wrong.
When I stopped looking for the edges and started piecing together other sections, the edge pieces began to reveal themselves.
Then my mom got sucked into the puzzle vortex. She stopped by for “just a few minutes,” and with her fresh pair of eyes, she found several edge pieces that were RIGHT in front of me. 😬
With her help, I completed the 500-piece puzzle on Monday, and guess what?
There was only one missing piece. (And it wasn’t an edge!)
More like a 499-piece puzzle...
The whole experience aligned so well with a new offer I’m putting together for solopreneurs (or maybe I just like to find a metaphor with EVERYthing??) that I just HAD to share it with you in this week’s newsletter.
I'm like... so excited about this, Reader. Honestly, this might be the most excited I've been about any offer I've had. Truly! That's because this 1:1 "Choose Your Own Adventure" strategy session is designed to help small business owners find the clarity and tools to write their own copy with the coolness and confidence of the Kool-Aid Man busting through a wall.
So, with The Copy Soundcheck, I’m leaning into my natural ability to teach by helping business owners master copywriting fundamentals.
This strategy sesh is for you if:
You’re not ready to hire a copywriter for a full project (yet), but you have a website, email sequence, or sales page to write, and you don’t know where to begin 😵💫
You’re sick of staring at a blinking cursor, second-guessing every word and even when you do write something, you’re afraid of publishing it because what if it’s not good? 😫
You want personalized strategies, actionable (no, seriously- like ACTUALLY actionable) feedback, and maybe even a little DFY (Done For You) copy magic 🪄
It’s part audit, part strategy, part education, and part whatever-you-need-it-to-be.
Ooh, ooh, ooh! And here’s the best part 👇
After our sesh, you’ll walk away with:
Clear next steps for your emails, website, or sales page (you choose!)
Tools and templates to stop overthinking and start writing
Confidence to DIY your copy in a way that connects and converts your ideal clients
When a fellow creative recently described so many of us as “accidental entrepreneurs”, I felt that deep. Most of us didn’t study marketing or business. The Copy Soundcheck exists to bridge that gap–to help you feel empowered, not overwhelmed, and still with plenty of money in your bank account. (aka I've made this very affordable.)
Since this offer is still fresh out of the oven, I’m offering an introductory rate to the first 3 business owners who book a call for The Copy Soundcheck.
If this sounds like the missing piece in your business puzzle, check out my (still-in-progress) sales page here.
My goal for 2025? To help 25 business owners make MORE money through copy that converts. I believe every business owner should feel equipped with the knowledge and tools to write copy that connects, engages, and drives results–on their terms.
Here’s to piecing it together, 🥂 Rachael
P.S. If this isn’t a good offer for you but you know someone else who would find this helpful, would you mind forwarding this email to them? Or sending them these details? Thank you! 🤗

The Real Deal Digest Issue No. 13 It was wet, it was dark, and... It moved. Not exactly how I intended to spend my Friday night, but there I was. Staring down the cylindrical container of my Trader Joe's steel-cut oats. Beneath the opaque lid was a nest of weevils. Or so I can assume. I wasn't about to peel back the lid and confirm. I had enough confirmation from the dozens of weevils who had found their way in the dogs' water dish, on my hoodie, and on the kitchen floor that Friday...
The Real Deal Digest Issue No. 11 Ha! See what I did there? And if you didn't, I apologize... I don’t know when or why it happened, but over the last few years, I've welcomed the celeb drama and gossip into my life. Like even though I can name, uh... three? songs between Drake & Kendrick, I REALLY want to know where all this beef came from. (I still don't know what's going on, btw. Feel free to hit "Reply" and fill me in. 😬) I also want to know if Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are a legit...
The Real Deal Digest Issue No. 10 Oooh, so much to say to you this week, but so little time to say it! Isn’t that a nice problem to have? A dozen ideas in your head and not knowing which one to focus on for your weekly email? If you just read that and thought, “Are you kidding me, Rachael? I would LOVE to have that problem!”... …then allow me to give you that problem. 😀 Just keep reading! In this week’s issue of The Real Deal Digest: 💭 A notes app that helps me keep track of all my email...
