Oooh, so much to say to you this week, but so little time to say it!
Isn’t that a nice problem to have? A dozen ideas in your head and not knowing which one to focus on for your weekly email?
If you just read that and thought, “Are you kidding me, Rachael? I would LOVE to have that problem!”...
…then allow me to give you that problem. 😀 Just keep reading!
In this week’s issue of The Real Deal Digest:
💭 A notes app that helps me keep track of all my email content ideas
💭 An easy-peasy ChatGPTsy prompt to speed up your content brainstorming process
💭 What else to do when the ideas just.aren’t.coming.

Last week, I showed you how I emulated Tina Fey to capture an entire audience by following the rule of one, which is a great rule to live write by, but…
What do you do when you can’t think of anything to say to your audience?
Yep. It's easy to go there, isn't it? Inside a glass case of emotion. 😩 Completely shut down and decide to not create any content at all and hope that people will just find you through other avenues becausebecausebecause whatif-whatif-whatif...
What if I send something and sound stupid?
What if it doesn't resonate with anyone?
What if this is a waste of time?
What iffffff...
The excuses go on and you tell yourself you want to craft something perfect. Something spectacular. And storytelling is so hot right now so you want to send something MIND-BLOWING to your subscribers because you'd expect nothing less of yourself, buttttttt let’s face it, Reader...
Sometimes the stories don’t come. 🤷🏼♀️
So when you’re feeling uninspired or life is feeling just b l a h h h but you’ve TOLD yourself you’re going to stay consistently visible in 2025 (because your business deserves to be seen & heard, after all!)...
Take a deep breath!
...and don't worry! I gotchyu. 🙌
Here are 4 ways to keep your cool the next time you sit down to write your next email or social media post:
Immediately jot down a good idea when you think of it. We like to think our silly little brains will remember stuff... They don’t. 😬 So whip out the Notes app on your phone (or better yet, download Evernote and use their free version) whenever the idea train comes achoo-choo-in’. Your future self sitting in front of the blank Google doc a few days later will be thanking you. (I'll pinky promise to that!)
Schedule 1 hour of your time for a content brainstorm sesh each week. One hour. That’s it. That’s like… not even 1% of your entire week of waking hours, assuming you are awake 16ish hours a day. 😉 The point of the session is to get your gears spinning. Ideas will come… you just need to give yourself the time and grace to sit, think, and write.
Reuse old content. Take a look at old emails and see if there’s a sentence or two that you know you can expand on. Find a popular social media post and turn it into an email. Heck, use an old sales page to find pain points your clients have, and talk about that. (The sales page may be old, but the pain points aren’t!)
Ask ChatGPT to brainstorm with you. This works well when you don't have a lot of customer data or research to help you come up with ideas. If you haven't done this before, here’s a simple prompt you can try: I am a [your job title] who helps [your ideal client] by [what you do]. My ideal client struggles to [insert pain points] and wish they could [insert dreams/desires]. Please come up with 5 relevant topics that my ideal client would like to learn more about.
Obviously, the more details you feed ChatGPT (or Claude or whatever), the better results you’ll get. There's a good chance the robot won't give you a great response, but it will get you thinking, which is what we want, yeah?
(Would you like some more advanced prompts that aren’t for the faint of heart? Reply back and let me know! I can write a whole 'nother email about it if there's enough interest.)
So that's what I've got for you today. And ah, drat. This email is getting pretty long. I didn’t even get to what I wanted to talk about this week! I guess I’ll just talk about it next week. (See? Great problem to have. 😉)
-Rachael
P.S. I've got 2 more FREE 30-minute "Get Unstuck" sessions for business owners who want to start an email list but aren't sure where to begin or what to write.
Just like last week, this live sesh has no strings attached, nothing to sell. I just want to help you, well... get unstuck. :-) If interested, grab a time slot here.
