THE REAL DEAL DIGEST

Issue No. 4

You ever listen to music by CharliXCX or Billie Eilish and think…

I don’t get it. 🧐

If you admit this to your Gen Z niece, you might get served a sharp pair of dagger eyes...

But do you think Charli or Billie care about your opinion?

Nope.

They’re out there doing their thing, not caring about what you think. And I guarantee that their bank accounts are feeling it in the best way possible.

You see, Charli made a bold move with that puke-green brat color, and it worked.

(BTW, can someone explain brat summer to me? Or is it too late?)

And if you don’t like Billie’s whisper-singing…

...

...

...

...

TOO BAD!

They. don’t. care.

They’re adored by millions. They guest host on SNL. Sell out Madison Square Garden.

The haters and nay-sayers don’t concern them.

I need you to take this same energy and apply it to your business this week, ok?

In today's edition of The Real Deal Digest:

👏 Why embracing yourself is the key to success (and how to stop caring about what others think)

🧘 The mantra that propels me forward in my business each and every day

💭 The intrusive thoughts we all have (unless you don’t suffer from imposter syndrome… but if that’s the case… then what are you doing here?)

During a conversation with a friend who some might describe as, well… a bit wild, she shared something someone told her after she had been in a situation where she felt misunderstood:

“You may not be everyone’s cup of tea. But you are someone’s shot of whiskey.”

I think about this witty aphorism often. I love this SO. MUCH. In fact, it gives me the courage to show up as myself on Instagram.

Recently, I decided to be intentional about what I post on there, and for the most part...

It’s nothing like what others are posting.

And can I share a little secret with you?

It’s freaking me out.

But I’ve decided to go with it. I’m posting what comes naturally to me. Creating content that is valuable but fun.

Don’t get me wrong, though. The intrusive thoughts still show up…

What if the copywriters who follow me think I can’t write?

What if I’m not resonating with everyone?

WAIT… what if I don’t resonate with ANYone?

…but I’m learning to tamper them down.

They’re turning into whispers… Billie Eilish-style.

And I’m having a blast because I know I don't *have* to be everyone's cup of tea.

I show up as myself.

So what are YOU waiting for, Reader?

What’s the scary thing you’ve been putting off... because you think you’ll be judged for it?

What beautiful part of yourself are you hiding, my friend?

You have it? Are you thinking of the scary thing right now?

Okay, great. With that thought in your mind, I want you to say this out loud with me:

It’s my time and I’m ready for the next step.”

Did you actually say it? Come on, now. Don't lie to me.

Let's try again. In a different color. And a little louder:

It’s my time and I’m ready for the next step.”

See? I knew you could do it. You got this! 🙌 Hit “Reply” to let me know what you’re going to smash out of the park this week.

Until next week,

Rachael

The Real Deal Digest Issue No. 13 It was wet, it was dark, and... It moved. Not exactly how I intended to spend my Friday night, but there I was. Staring down the cylindrical container of my Trader Joe's steel-cut oats. Beneath the opaque lid was a nest of weevils. Or so I can assume. I wasn't about to peel back the lid and confirm. I had enough confirmation from the dozens of weevils who had found their way in the dogs' water dish, on my hoodie, and on the kitchen floor that Friday...

The Real Deal Digest Issue No. 11 Ha! See what I did there? And if you didn't, I apologize... I don’t know when or why it happened, but over the last few years, I've welcomed the celeb drama and gossip into my life. Like even though I can name, uh... three? songs between Drake & Kendrick, I REALLY want to know where all this beef came from. (I still don't know what's going on, btw. Feel free to hit "Reply" and fill me in. 😬) I also want to know if Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are a legit...

The Real Deal Digest Issue No. 10 Oooh, so much to say to you this week, but so little time to say it! Isn’t that a nice problem to have? A dozen ideas in your head and not knowing which one to focus on for your weekly email? If you just read that and thought, “Are you kidding me, Rachael? I would LOVE to have that problem!”... …then allow me to give you that problem. 😀 Just keep reading!
