Did you know there are certain words copywriters avoid using because they're considered "friction words"?
We don't talk about it much. Neither does ChatGPT.
π One of those words is "LEARN."
Yup. LEARN.
You ever tell anyone to go and "Learn More" as a call to action?
β
If you have, it's okay β you didn't know! But "learn" is one of those words that makes our lizard brains subconsciously think, "Learn?? I don't want to learn right now. Yuck."
So then your reader doesn't move forward. To go to your sales page. To read more about you. To join your membership. To buy your thing.
And then that's it. The customer journey stops there.
All because you used the word "LEARN."

Now... does this mean that NOBODY will click on a button that says "LEARN MORE"?
No, of course not. But you want as many people as possible to click on your shtuff, so why use a word that is proven to get lower conversion rates?
And with the average click rate at 1-2%, well... you want as many people as possible to click on your call to action. Just sayin'. π€·ββοΈ
